Rachael fell sick on 5 March after visiting Cyrus in the hospital. She already had runny nose on 4 March. But on 5 March, when she woke up for milk, I realized her body was very hot. For the first time, her temperature went up to 38.7 degrees Celsius. Hubby and I quickly woke up and brought her to KKH.
Her temperature was 38.8 when we reached there and the nurse immediately administer a dose of paracetamol for her. Her weight was taken to determine how much paracetamol she needs to take. At 8kg now, she needs 3.5ml. That's a lot and she hates it.
After that, we waited for our turn to see the doctor. It was quite fast. Doctor checked whether her lungs, ears, nose and throat was infected. Everything was fine. Seemed like it's just viral flu. However, she still needed to take urine sample to rule out UTI. So we waited for 1.5h for her to pee. While waiting, our girl fell asleep.
After taking her urine sample, we were told there were some white cells in her urine. So we had to wait for another 1h for further testing to be done. While waiting, another 1.5h gone. She slept.
And she played.
She smiled after the fever was gone. Thank God for His healing and for such a sweet baby.
I took CCL to take care of her on Thursday and Friday. I'm thankful to see her getting better by the day. Her voice is still hoarse now. Throat and nose still has mucus and phlegm. I pray for speedy and total healing.
Father, heal her of her runny nose and cough. Let her be able to sleep peacefully and breathe properly again. I pray that her nose will not be blocked and her voice will not be hoarse. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen!
